Sega and Climax Entertainment go prehistoric on role-playing games in Dinosaur King. Based on the card-trading game that also became an anime series, Dinosaur King lets players join the dino-hunting team known as the D-Kids as they travel around the world excavating dinosaur bones. Players can reanimate more than 100 different species, teach them more than 240 special moves, and then send the creatures off into Pokémon-style battles. There are five continents to explore, each containing fossils from the actual dinosaurs that once roamed in that region, and players can access a Dinosaur Encyclopedia to learn the genealogy, stats, and era for each reptile. Dinosaurs become more powerful and learn new attacks as they compete in more battles, and players can complete mini-quests to earn new dinosaur-hunting equipment. True to Dinosaur King's trading-card origin, gamers can square off in head-to-head battles or trade items and dinosaurs using Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection.
