About this product

Product Information

Cosmic Creeps is a quirky, mildly enjoyable game that is divided into two alternating missions: The Voyage and The Rescue. The first part has players guiding an Orbinaut from a planet at the bottom of the screen to the space station at the top of the screen, avoiding plasma and Space Skeeters along the way. The second part gives players control of the space station, which moves left and right and fires missiles at Creeps, which are in hot pursuit of the Cosmic Kids. The objective here is to allow the Kids, which emerge from the bottom of the screen one at a time, to escape to the space station unharmed. Scoring 5,000 points progresses the game to a new planet while allowing a Creep to reach the space station ends the game. Cosmic Creeps has zero animation (the stiff characters slide across the screen) and bland sound effects, but the space station looks very cool (though it could use blinking lights). Aiming and timing of shots is important, and certain aliens are quick enough to catch the Kids, meaning the game does have some decent challenges.
