To make it easy to identify when you take your shots, this camera provides a date imprint option.In the top right-hand corner, next to the shutter button of this Contax camera, there is a small wheel that governs just about everything these cameras can do. Firstly, it is the on/off switch. With one simple click, the hatch slides back, the lens comes out, and the camera is ready to be used in auto-focus mode. A second click puts the camera in fixed mode to infinity, and a third click puts it in manual focus. The viewfinder displays a green circle with a red arrow on each side that helps you focus the camera. The two red arrows show you which way to turn the wheel to get your picture just right. The shutter button is a pleasant surprise on this Contax. It works quickly and quietly, making it impossible to hear the film winding when a picture is taken.The Contax T2s were made from titanium and were built like tanks. There were several different finishes that were made available. The most common finishes were the champagne silver and the titanium black ones. The less common were the jet black and the gold versions. This Contax was made to be the Cadillac of compact cameras. The film pressure plate is made of ceramic, polished to a flat, hard surface so the film stays totally flat. A synthetic ruby was used by the company on the shutter button to avoid signs of wear and tear.
