The Japanese version of the simulation game (Caduceus: New Blood) was released on January 18, 2008 by developer and publisher Atlus and has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB due to blood, drug references, mild language, and mild violence. Trauma Center: New Blood for Nintendo Wii takes place in the Concordia Medical Institute where the medical facility has closed its doors to the public due to lackadaisical doctors and staff. Players of the Nintendo Wii game follow medical recruits Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock as they learn about a conspiratorial organization referred to as Caduceus. The simulation game requires players to operate on patients to earn ranks dependent on skill and speed. Trauma Center: New Blood for Nintendo Wii is the first of the Trauma Center series to provide a two-player co-op mode that allows for cooperative efforts to save lives through strong communication and teamwork.
