Additional InformationIn 1970s Poland, BLIND CHANCE comprises the same simple story (a man runs to catch train) but one that is played out with three different outcomes. In the first scenario Witek catches the train and subsequently becomes involved in the hard line communist party. In the second scenario his path to the train is blocked by an officious ticket collector; they struggle and the man is arrested, leading to the start of his involvement with the underground. In the third scenario, the man misses the train and goes back to the studies he was going to leave. He meets and falls in love with a female student and they subsequently marry. He goes on to lead a quiet life as a doctor with little time for the political upheaval going on around him.
