Product Information
The original Milton Bradley board game Battleship comes to the Nintendo Game Boy Color with all the features of the original and many new aspects only available in this new version. As in the board game, the object is to sink your opponent's ships before he sinks yours. Each player places a battleship, destroyer, frigate, and sub (with a cruiser added later) on a grid and launches missiles at coordinates on the other player's grid. Record your hits and misses, eventually figuring out where the other ships are hidden. Each ship takes a certain number of hits to sink.

However, in this Game Boy Color version, you also have some extra items at your disposal. Instead of firing, you can use your radar on a foursquare block of your opponent's grid to learn what, if anything, lies there. You also get some more powerful missiles to fire from your destroyer, but only in a limited quantity. Finally, you can use the Harpoon, a deadly missile that only your battleship carries, which strikes a range of squares. If your battleship sinks, the Harpoon goes with it.

There are twelve levels in Battleship, each with four stages. When you win a stage, you get a password and move on to the next. Write down the password, because you can use it later to return to the same stage. As you progress through the levels, you get more items and ships and play on a variety of battle layouts, from island chains to seaports.Product Identifiers
