Badaboom Badabiim is the first children's book in a trilogy about the creation of the drum. It begins deep in the jungle high up on a mountain where an old alchemist lives. He finds himself lonely and decides to make a friend, a drum. He names his new friend Tumba. New to this world Tumba kws only how to ask questions. When the old alchemist grows tired of answering so many question he creates Segundo, a drum with the power of the answer. The drums talk to one ather and learn how they were created; they wish to speak freely. They begin to create more drums in search of the right balance. The story teaches themes of harmony, creative inventiveness, call and response, and geography. The story is written in both English and Spanish as well as the audio component.
