The Audiovox Rampage AVW12 is a one-way 12-inch subwoofer for use in vehicles. The Audiovox car subwoofer uses the one-way design to send incoming power across one channel, resulting in all power being returned as bass. The 12-inch automotive subwoofer is a component speaker that pairs with other speaker units as part of a larger stereo system. The Audiovox Rampage AVW12 has 4-Ohm impedance sent across dual coils. A minimum frequency response of 25 Hz is required by the Audiovox car subwoofer in order to function properly, and the maximum frequency response that this unit can handle is 2 kHz. Peak handling power for the car stereo speaker is 200 watts. The woofer on the 12-inch automotive subwoofer consists of a poly-plastic cone with a foam surround. The magnet for this unit is strontium ferrite. The Audiovox car subwoofer is non-enclosed and non-powered, meaning this unit requires mounting in a box enclosure and requires power from an external source, such as a car stereo amplifier.
