Straight from their very own cartoon show come the Animaniacs: Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. The brothers and sister are looking for lost movie classics which Warner Brothers CEO Thaddeus J. Plotz has hidden around the studio's back lots. Starting on an ocean liner set, the player must help the siblings find the movies as well as awards and film posters that have been hidden. The player uses a different Animaniac in each of the eleven levels. Besides running and jumping through various obstacles, each sibling has a different weapon to use against the rats and other "meanies" who get in his or her way. Each level has a final boss who must be beaten to move on to the next one. In addition, there are bonus rooms containing extra surprises and televisions that play short cartoons. Besides the title characters and Plotz, others from the show such as Ralph the security guard, Hello Nurse and Dr. Otto Von Scratchansniff appear too. Since collecting all those film reels and other paraphernalia is such hard work, there are plenty of power-ups in the form of tasty treats scattered through each level. Be sure to keep an eye out for the cake slices that add extra lives and the warps that send the player to secret rooms. There are three levels of difficulty in Gigantic Adventure and two players can take turns on the same machine while up to four can play special levels over the Internet. Games in progress can be saved and returned to later.
