The film depicts the harrowing true story of the attack on a U.S. embassy outpost in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, which killed four Americans (including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens). After the assault begins, an ex-military security team are tasked with protecting a covert CIA base approximately a mile from the outpost.
