This vintage tin train car was made in Germany and the body is painted blue with striping to give the affect of wood sides. The P.R.R. (Pennsylvania Railroad) box car has a hinged roof. There are 2 interior compartments in this vintage tin train box car. There are 4 sliding doors on the toy train Pennsy box car which slide easily. This vintage Marklin Pre-War train made in Germany has 8 wheels. We have determined that the Pennsy train box car is 1 gauge by measuring the distance between the wheels. The distance between the wheel tyres on this vintage tin train car is 1 17/32”. There is some minor wear and spotting to this Marklin box car. One corner of the roof is slightly bent and one bumper knob is loose but its overall condition is very good. This 1 gauge vintage tin toy train Pennsylvania Railroad box car measures ~10” L. “Throw the switch” and pull this Marklin train car into the station of your toy train collection!”
