Notes
Volcano is Jody Blackwell's first solo EP, released in 1996. The influences of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez and Suzanne Vega are evident in her ethereal alternate tunings, ringing melodies and richly metaphoric lyrics. The intimate production of this album draws the listener into close vicinity of the singer and the songs, like two old friends sharing stories, late into the night. Engineered by Steve Friedman.
