Needed item for 18th century costume dress. It worked out fine everyone asked where I got the pannier from because they couldn't fine it for their costume. It would be better if it was ruffled so it can hide the boning. I added layers of tulle to hide the boning. I don't know if this pannier would work for a dress with heavy fabric but my dress was lightweight.
