The Little Giant pump arrived with the motor cover loose in the box, missing a drain plug, and a bent motor shaft. The item likely took a hard fall, arriving in an inoperable condition. It made a severe vibration when running, and one could see that the shaft was not centered as it turned. The seller claims I "tampered" with it and voided any insurance claim. I don't believe that looking at an already open motor and plugging in for a test is "tampering." Can you help me??

You attempted to use the unit after deciding it was damaged by usps. I cannot say any damage was done by usps when your talking about drilling screws through things that shouldnt be. If you wouldnt have tampered with it I may have been able to help on my side but after you start messing with things I have no way of prooving the post office broke anything.
