They have an unthreaded shank that makes it more difficult to screw into the wood., But AFAIC, it's worth it to work with them (or replace then yourself) because the tuners are better than stock Fender ones for not a whole lot of money. As for the seller, well, it's Sweetwater, so nothing to fear with them.
