Comedy vehicle for Shelley Long as a spoilt Beverly Hills housewife who, aware that her moneyed lifestyle is leaving her spiritually empty and unaccomplished, volunteers to take over her daughter's Girl Scout troop. Unaccustomed to the tough, outdoor life of the troop, she takes her young charges on camp-outs in exclusive hotels, arranges sushi appreciation sessions and replaces marshmallows round the campfire with chocolate fondue in front of an open-hearth. However, she soon comes into her own during a climactic competitive woodland trek.
