That way they can clear the rubber gasket when installing them. They ALSO need to be adjusted/positioned by holding the plastic housing down while using your thumbnail to lift the brass nozzles UP to angle the fluid as needed - they're adjustable - WOW! They look close to OEM too so that's cool - Thanks+
