    My Telewave 44 AP arrived earlier today, it looked brand spanking new like nobody has ever laid a hand on it. I connected it to an HT and got the expected 5 W, it is now on its way for calibration. Thank you for saving me about $1400!

    Meter and case showed only minimul signs of use. I bought it as an acceptable alternative to a Bird 43 since Bird elements have gotten so expenstive. It was slightly off on its readings on 144.200 MHz, 222.1 MHz and 432.1 MHz, but easy to calibrate using a manual I printed off the web. I have been an amateur radio operator for more than 55 years so calibration was no problem and should be something a moderately experienced ham could handle.
