The album includes many of The Band's best-known and critically acclaimed songs, including "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," which Rolling Stone named the 249th greatest song of all time. The magazine also ranked the album number 45 in their list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Time magazine included it in their unranked 2006 list of the 100 greatest albums.

This is a scam artist!! No communication but form letters that don't address the issues! Item was packed poorly. A flimsy mailer for a 50th anniversary special pressing record album. The corners of a brand new sealed LP creased and bent! I am a collector and I don't appreciate a brand new LP damaged because of insufficient packaging! Also shipping took 15 days after they received payment!! Unacceptable!
