However, compared to some of the other ubs I bought over the years, it is built well.It could be that Catalina mis-identifies the driver. it does not backfeed power to the mac, which is very important to protect your machine. Since the machine I am going to use it with is only USB 2.0 for now. it is not a big deal. I like the power switches on the top and the solid connections for USB plugs.

I procrastinated hooking it up because I needed to get behind the PC to access the USB port. I bought the version with the power supply. I finally hooked it up about ten minutes ago. I have not plugged the power in yet, but it is working fine.
