I used a soldering gun and removed from the original, but as long as you make sure the screws stay snug I believe it shouldn’t make a difference. More than worth the saved 35 to 55 for an OEM one. Will write another review if the spring doesn’t hold up but based off the first week it’s indistinguishable from the original. 8.5/10 REDMAX blower 8500
