This is frustrating because the solution is additional capacitors/resistors that are not easy to bodge onto the PCB. (Or the chip itself is from a dubious batch?) I would like to have seen pull up resistors, inline resistors and decoupling caps etc to make this module more robust (see more info youtube watch?v=mNsLj6gleQs&t=1011s)
