The gas cap arrived loose with no OEM packaging, so I do not know for certain that it is in fact an OEM part and not an aftermarket one. I am not the only one this happen to. I reached out to customer but no response. Still don't know if it is after market or oem. My original is a Gerdes and was made in Germany. The one i got no marking at all. Live and learn. Not going back there anyh time soon
