Maybe some extra bubble wrap might have been good, but it's a pretty sturdy item. I'm going to use this to power a plasma tube, and the initial tests worked great! So if other people are doing this too, I would recommend this option. I think it was a better choice than trying to track down a suitable flyback transformer.
