Reviews
At last, proper emphasis is given to the interaction between print and the visual cultures of the Romantic period. Wonderfully comprehensive and authoritative, ranging from aesthetic discourse through exhibition practices, popular spectacle, the print shop, illustration, magazine culture and the afterlife of Romanticism in film. Inspirational and indispensable in equal measure.

Synopsis
From the birth of the museum to the explosion of mass-produced illustrated books, the Romantic period (c. 1770-1840) was a moment of rapid change and fruitful experimentation in the fields of art and literature alike. New advances in print production encouraged a wider range of readers to engage with literary forms that opened a path into the once aristocratic field of the visual arts. This Companion captures the way recent engagements with visual studies have reshaped how we approach and understand the boundaries between print and visual culture in the period. It brings together 27 research-led chapters that offer a detailed account of the productive, if sometimes tense, interactions between emergent forms of intermedial expression that were redefining culture in the Romantic period -- as they continue to do today., The only volume to comprehensively bring together developments from different disciplines that address the complex interplay between British Romantic literature and the visual arts

I've ordered from Rarewaves here in the US and the UK multiple times, and continue to do so. They always seem to have something I can't find anywhere else at all or for a reasonable price. When I purchase used items, they are as described, if not a grade better. Aways a quick turnaround after ordering, every item arrives promptly, professionally packaged. Many orders have free shipping, even for solitary item orders. I never needed a reason to communicate, as I've had no cause. Recommended.

A wonderful ebay seller! My item arrived on time and was well packaged for its trip through the mail. The item I received was in the exact condition as in the listing. The price was perfect, including shipping. The seller was very communicative when I had a few questions. You can't go wrong ordering from rarewaves-usa!

Item arrived still wrapped as advertised but it must have taken some damage in transit since it arrived with a couple cracks and a small chunk of the frame of the case had completely detached. BUT the discs were still undamaged so I messaged the seller to tell them I was still going to keep the item I just wanted to let them know about the issue and they messaged me back and offered me 20% off the order to make up for the inconvenience. Great seller. Would purchase from them again.
