At 1 terabyte data storage, the Seagate Constellation still boasts of a 7200 RPM with up to 64 megabytes of buffer cache. The Constellation ES has a maximum sustained transfer rate of 150 MB/s, seek time average read/write of 8.5/9.5 MB/s, and interface access speeds of 6.0, 3.0, and 1.5 GB/s. With a form factor of 3.5 inches, the Seagate Constellation ES fits well into the standard hard drive bays of most desktop computer systems. Among the features of the Constellation ES that are unique to the brand include an improvement on its rotational vibration tolerance, low power consumption and thermal yield, and several security options.
