The pictures within the book helped to clarify some of the words that the children were unsure of ... This book was also helpful as it tied into our current class project of 'safety'. We were able to look at the various materials the Park Ranger needed and talk about why they would be useful and in what situations they would be needed. As a class we also looked at the different tools the Park Ranger had and discussed safety measures to use around the tools.
