Friction plates appear to be well made and had wider surface area than OEM. I replaced only the friction plates as the steels on my Softail were still in good shape. The new plates measured 50% thicker than my old wore out ones. Bike shifts much smoother and accelerates better than ever. I will use Alto Red Eagle Clutches when I change out the ones on my Ultra Classic.
