Similarly, the metal at the bottom is a shiny thin chrome - the OEM was more matte and consistent. The “Leather” is soft but clearly some cheap imitation material. It did not fit firmly on the shaft and I had to add material to get a secure fit. I found the brightness of the illumination too bright and added a resistor to help tone it down. You get what you pay for - don’t expect BMW quality.
