I actually have a genuine mcable on my own ps3 which was excessively expensive, however this thor cable is the same thing utilising the same chip/tech with the only difference being the cable design/branding and it's over £100 cheaper than an mcable. I highly recommend this thor cable it is much more cost effective and does exactly as advertised, it does not increase latency either. Great bit of tech for a budget conscious retro setup.
