Item is as depicted & described. Is polished quartz according to seller after inquiry. The hardness checks out, as I tested it myself. It looks a lot like polished glass with stress fracturing in it, expected from high speed polishing, but it is at least as hard as 7.0 on Moh's scale, glass is 5.5 to 6.5. Under magnification, the 'fracturing' is actually inclusions that often occur naturally in stones such as quartz and topaz. In fact I like some inclusions since it means it is the real deal.
