The Nook Color powered up with previous owner's books - clearly untested beyond seeing the screen light up. It failed to connect to my wireless router, telling me I had a network problem and could not reregister the Nook. After some technical research about how to perform a factory reset, I again got it to the point of connecting to B&N to register the device, where it told me I had a wireless network problem and would go no further. It's a pretty brick, but it's a brick.
