Every piece was still wrapped in original shipping plastic from factory. Even protective film plastic was on screen. So I'm 100 percent sure detector was never used. I would go as far as to say. The detector looked and was brand new. Worked well right out of the box. Very pleased. Got a great price due to open box. A gamble that turned out to be a win for me. Would buy again. Thanks
