The only delidder I could find to delid an Intel Xeon x5690 to do a 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 to 5,1 conversion. The thermal paste on the 15 year-old x5690 CPU was very, very hard. I used pliers on the hex screw to give more torque. It worked! PS - make sure the black bar that moves when the hex screw is tightened rests on TOP of the green PVC edge of the CPU. You don’t want it to push on the PVC itself! The bar will push the silver lid off of its glued position.Opener Intel CPU Delid tool - Compatible LGA1366 Xeon x5690 5680 (also i5 i7 i9) (#394420357344)
