Synopsis
Susanna Wesley, who made such a profound impression on her son John, was a fascinating and many-sided character in her own right. She was a Puritan, an Anglican, a Methodist - at once a mystic and a superbly practical mother and homebuilder. This study offers a detailed exploration of her Puritan background, sees it as the key to her character, and uses it to illuminate the Methodism of which she has justly been termed the Mother.

- e***r (299)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThe shipping time was as described - about 2 weeks. Can't really complain as it's up front, but the dispatch time is misleading. Pricing was OK, and in this case buying used didn't save much if anything. My main complaint is the packaging is bad - the book was sent in a plain envelope and not even a bubble mailer. It was split open when I took it out of my mailbox. Thankfully the book itself was undamaged but I got lucky. I wouldn't risk ordering a valuable or hardback book from here.
