Super easy to apply, luckily a pre-mixed bottle of dye matched my steering wheel and the end result was just great. A spray system might lay down a little smoother, but I did not want the overspray mess to deal with. With every mile on the road the smoother effect will increase. Nevertheless, there is a third way to apply the dye and it is with a flock roller. One can achieve smoother result that way, just need to remove the lint before use.
