    The packaging was questionable but fortunately it arrived without the contents falling out. The fabric has a definite odor but doesn't smell like mildew. Will have to deodorize an awful lot of fabric before I can begin working this project.

    My fabric is stored in my quilting room, which I use daily. I am at a loss as to why that quilt kit had an odor. THANK YOU FOR CLARIFYING THAT IT WASN'T MILDEW!! When I have received fabric with a non-mildew odor, I have found that just leaving it out of the packaging in the "open air" will take away the odor. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced.
