The extension and all of the fittings were packaged separately to avoid cosmetic damage in shipping, and arrived in new condition. The cost was comparable with others, and will look nice under the hood. The shipping took a while, but it could have been a post office issue. Negatives: The (crush) washer that was packaged was too large, and had to be replaced. And, the fittings lacked teflon tape. But overall, it appears to be a solid product.
