It was in a box with no packing around it, but I'm pretty sure this box was already damaged before it was shipped (this wouldn't happen inside of a box). Thankfully, I'm not buying this as a collector, so I'm not looking to return it. But I would be pretty annoyed if I received a "new" item in this condition.
