I found that the supplied rubber seal was too thin, and the 3 Allen bolts were 1/8" too long. I ended up using another thicker rubber seal that came out of another gas cap aftermarket kit that I had recently purchased for my GSXR1000, and then I replaced the long bolts with 3 shorter M5 bolts (3/4" long).
