Drive booted up and ran for a little while, but wouldn't activate windows without a key. Key on my laptop was for Win 7, so Microsoft no longer recognizes upgrades, a sneeky way to make you spend more money. It will however allow new clean installs, so I'm just going to buy a new empty hard drive and a new edition of Win 10.
