Interesting to note that this passive model was originally sold with a battery powered mate, which no doubt failed, due to the stupidity of putting circuitry inside a vibrating speaker box. Plus the battery is brainless. Where would you be without AC 120 volt power ??? Otherwise they are average quality, suitable for my purposes, though not as good as the SPGN series, which are currently unavailable. Note: avoid powered speakers !
