No mere compilation of dry statistics on track closings and running schedules (though they are here too!), this book is full of the life and vigor of Kentucky's economic arteries. Professor Sulzer, a consummate storyteller, recounts the human drama surrounding these ghost lines. Even poor Alex Richardson, shamefully lynched on the new railroad bridge over the Kentucky River at West Irvine, has his sad story told., Based on thousands of interviews, and meticulous original scholarship Ghost Railroads of Kentucky is essential for the historian, hobbiest, and buff; in short, for anyone interested in Kentucky's place in rail history. A little disappointed with how bad one of the legs are warped, I did not realize how warped the leg was via the photos. Horse cannot stand on its own. Other than that, I recommend this seller as they are very communicative. Horse was listed as good condition but may have not been worth the value that it was priced considering the low quality of the horse. A+ Shipping and Communication.
