    Well made item in aluminium, so will not take to being hit with a hammer for hard ground. Holman should sell a separate steel spike to make holes in a square pattern. I use a hammer drilll for this purpose and it works fine but is overkill. On a separate note, it helps to remember where you left the sprinkler head. I may have to return for this reason alone nothing to do with quality.
