Out side of my parents, my high school football coach and Jesus Christ, no one influenced my life more than Johnny Cash. I am a Christian today, partly because of his influence. I am in prison ministry partly because of his influence. My guitar style betrays his influence. I wear black... because I'm from the largest Amish community in the world. O.K. - partly because of the influence of Johnny Cash. I had the unbelievable privilege to record this project in Johnny Cash's own studio, The Cash Cabin, with some of Nashville's finest musicians: Mark Fain, Kerry Marx, Kenny Vaughan, Aaron Minick, Tim Lauer, with Johnny Cash's own sound engineer, Chuck Turner on the sound board. I tried to sing his songs from early, height and late in his career. Trains, prisons, love and gospel. I think it sounds great! No one can replace Johnny Cash, but here is a tribute to the man and his music.
