When the item was overdue by a few days, I contacted the seller through eBay. No response. After some time period (can't remember) eBay emailed me to ask if it was resolved. I answered "No" and they replied almost immediately to say they could not obtain any proof and refunded me. I don't mind if things go wrong - it happens, but it's how the seller manages the problem that matters.
