See https: github.com/AC7RNsphnHVbyT4/ibm-tape-drive-automatic-standalone. Just thought I would leave this for others. It takes some technical know-how. After I did I was able to test with the ITDT Tool. It tested fine. I've attached an image the drive info from the tool.
