Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit werden Moeglichkeiten alternativer technischer Loesungen im Antriebsstrang eines Automobils untersucht. Vor dem Hintergrund der CO2-Reduzierung soll sich daraus eine Handlungsalternative fur die Spulenwicklung von Elektromagneten ergeben. Konkret wird die Substitution von Kupfer durch Aluminium untersucht. Dazu werden die Eigenschaften der beiden Materialien gegenuber gestellt und ein gesamtoekologischer und oekonomischer Vergleich durchgefuhrt. Des Weiteren werden die versteckten Emissionen , die Kupfer und Aluminium im Rucksack tragen, anhand von OEkobilanzen aufgezeigt und im weiteren Verlauf die CO2-Emissionen wahrend der Nutzungsphase im Automobil verglichen. Durch die Ergebnisse leitet sich sowohl aus oekologischer wie auch aus oekonomischer Sicht Handlungsbedarf fur Unternehmen ab.
