I bought this 5-CD boxed set to avoid the tedium of digitizing my vinyl 8-LP record boxed set that I've owned since the early 1980s. A couple of the discs had minor defects near the rim, causing the CD ripping software fits, but I eventually got all tracks converted to near-CD quality MP3 format, certainly much better and less noisy than vinyl. I'll now be able to enjoy these "Grand Prix du Disque" award-winning recordings for years to come.
