Old dry rotted elastic waist. These cannot be worn or even donated, nor returns accepted. When you pull on waist you can hear all the elastic crack and break. If their older style - head the warning they may not be wearable if they have elastic or stretch material in them. Live and learn to check for “returns accepted” I have to throw this $$ in trash & $8.20 dollars lost for shipping trash too.
